Little tips for easy parenting!

Mak bapak jaman sekarang kan mesti nak mudah when it comes to raising the kids, or at least to make parenting so much fun.
Ye la...dah penat-penat kerja.. yang kita tau, nak cara yang
  • mudah - sapa nak susah-susah?
  • murah - bukan semua orang nak bermewah-mewah beli yang bukan-bukan
  • effective - yang ni paling penting. Kalau boleh nak immediately boleh nampak hasilnya.

Here are some fun tips for easy parenting (from various sources).
Jom kita try.

Memandangkan bebudak jaman IT ni suka main touchscreen, chances are their handwriting tak berapa lawa, sebab motor skills agak kureng. So, ajar diorang pegang pensel the right way with a wad of tissue paper.
Teach your child to hold a pencil the right way with a wad of Kleenex.

Or selalu-selalu la suruh diorang panjat monkey bars.

If your kids have bad handwriting, make them spend some time on the monkey bars.

Yang selalu menjerit-jerit sebab seriau anak terkepit jari, maybe boleh repurpose a pool noodle to become a toddler-proof door stopper.

Repurpose a pool noodle to become a toddler-proof door stopper.
Keep your toddler from slamming doors, getting locked out, and from getting woken up by closing doors.

Untuk potty-train anak, maybe boleh  guna maxi pads just to extend the diapers.

Use maxi pads to extend diapers for a potty-training child.

Save your old cell phones and let your kids use them as play cameras.

Aku tak ajar anak-anak aku takut hantu, sebab takut menyimpang aqidah pulak...

If your kids are scared of monsters, make monster spray.

Hehehe. Nampak la lasak sikit ala-ala ALex O'Loughlin ku (ohhh)
Invest in a good pair of cargo pants.

Malas nak paku, atau sayang nak rosakkan tangga lawa-lawa.... guna la heavy duty cable ties untuk pasang baby gates.

Install a baby-gate using heavy-duty cable ties instead of nailing into the banister.

Yang ni menarik ni.
Kalo nak drive balik kampung jauh-jauh.... guna shoe caddy ni...sumbat segala games and snacks.

Use a shoe caddy to store games and snacks on a long road trip.

Ikat blanket/cadar besar keliling meja...buat hammock. Tapi kalo anak tersembam, aku tak jamin.

Need a place to put your kid?

Untuk anak-anak yang perlu ada rasa 'sentuhan ibu' bila ditepuk sampai tidur, isikan glove dengan biji barli/ kacang hijau... dan gantikan tangan korang just to make them feel we are still there. Hehehe

Fill a glove with pearled barley or beans, give a few pats with it, and then slip away stealthily into the night.
Tapi make sure la jahit elok-elok... Kang jenuh pulak anak tertelan biji-biji tu.

Old lotion bottle boleh jadi  faucet extender. Senang anak-anak yang tak cukup tinggi nak capai.

Turn an old lotion bottle into a faucet extender so the little ones can reach.

Konon nak buat game...sebenarnya nak ajar anak buat keje. Hehehe. Keji tak?

Put your kids to work by turning chores into a fun game.

Use a barrette to fix your little girl's too-loose tank top.

Ni aku selalu buat kalau tengok jenuh sangat anak alami colds/flu.
Sapu Vicks kat kaki dan pakaikan stokin.
To stop nighttime coughing, rub vapor rub on their feet and put socks over them.

Layan main sama-sama. Hahaha

For the gamer parent...

Kot seronok sangat shopping, tapi tak terkejar anak, tempek la temporary tattoo macam ni.
Put temporary tattoos on your kids in case they get lost.
These are by a company called Tottoos.
Tapi kalau orang call untuk mintak ransom, aku tak bertanggungjawab. Hehehe.

Selamat mencuba!
