Paint the world your own hue!

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"
Quoted from one of the Sex & the City series, actually this entry is about a freaking humbug who has caused a hurly burly amongst me & my gossiping friends.

It started with the fashion we (Sab, Zana & I) wear everyday to work. Apparently, we don't buy the whole bundle of fabrics at all shops. But having very similar design and fashion after a week or two, oh.. perhaps it's just a coincidence as it's the in-fashion of that season!

Then, the make-ups. Okay..okay, most women put on make-ups on their face! But we are the 'ratu tebal' around who pioneered certain types of eye make-ups to intensify or soften our regards. So, it must be very obvious when someone who always puts only one decent shade on the mobile lids suddenly came up with the same application techniques, not to mention, the same colour tones!

Belladonna, can u please give free tutorials to these fraudsters?!

Not long after that, Sab was gleeful with the ever desired bright-eyed lenses. And again, another impostor joined the club!
As for me, I really think those who wear lenses (particularly colour lenses) while they have great eyesight are idiots. Why expose yourself to eye infection when u can happily avoid it?
It's no big deal if u are short-sighted or long-sighted, as it is just an option whether u wanna wear normal lenses or colour lenses.
C'mon man, create your own style!

Then, I started wearing necklaces, bracelets & bangles after I piled up my old collection with new ones. Just feel like putting on extra accessories.

Guess what, it's a happenstance again! :P

My dear ones told me, these copycats who fraudulently photocopy our appearance are actually our fans, but it doesn't pay to chafe us!Or maybe they just don't know how to give credit where credit is due.

Soon after, after scuttlebutting about the previous emulations by those morons, my ways of wearing scarf/shawl was imitated. Having been wearing fancy styles of scarf/shawls at work, people always ask me on how I put 'em on. I interpret it as a compliment. But in this case, it's annoying to the eyes!

Hello copycat, are u craving for ideas for a better image? Why not hire Norma Norell to help u?

Hmmm... maybe after the shooting I had with Jovian is aired next weekend, there will be more imitators around me! How pathetic seeing a wannabe-me trying so hard to look as good or better than me :P

Gimme baby one more time

What a lonngggg break! As usual, it's kinda slow to warm up the brain after it has been switched off for some time.

Well, during the break, this question has been rambling on my mind a few times...
"When is Adam gonna get a li'l sista?"

Know why? We visited Bid, who just got a babygirl, Widaad. Congrats, dear friend! The elder one, Adham is slightly younger than my munchkin.

Then, I had a small reunion with Fiza & Suraya. Fiza's little Zara is one week younger than my Adam, and she said that she doesn't mind getting pregnant anytime now. Just the same way I feel.

So, when is the next one?

Beginning-of-semester story

I hate it when it's the beginning of semester.

1. Too much traffic in the campus!
Reason 1: Students nowadays are rich. Even the 1st year students come to the uni by cars. And they drive bigger cars than we do!
Reason 2: The uni wanna achieve the target with millions of students. Hello! That's not a good idea, if this problem is not solved!

2. People double-triple park their vehicles. And I don't wanna be one of those being disturbed by calls, asking to move mine if I block other people's cars.
Solution : Wake up early, ask Mr Hubby send to office.
Disadvantage : Have to ride in friends' car if we are going out for lunch.

3. Cafe is packed regardless of the time. Lunchtime is even worse!
Solution : Go have lunch somewhere else (off campus)
Disadvantage : Kesian my friends! They have to drive.

4. The load: adapting to the new codes, adjusting to the new timetable, preparing exam papers, planning for field trips, etc.
Solution : Sacrifice blogging time, focus on the important ones first.
Disadvantage : I go crazy! coz I wouldn't have time to ramble about what's in my head.

Yet still I had time to bloghop here and there. And it is usually done when I have my lunch on my workstation :P I miss to comment on my bloggermates' writing.
Sorry Bella, kakTeh, AdiHana, etc. I'll get back when everything is done!

p/s: Yesterday I attended the IID 2009 at the Annex. Twas great to meet so many friends, esp. those I haven't seen for so long.

Designer's touch

Woohoo! I got the chance to get a designer's touch for my wardrobe! It's Jovian Mandagie! Yes, the couturier who designed the dress for Linda Onn at last year's Oscar red carpet.
Actually, it was a shoot for a TV programme to be aired soon, but hey... this doesn't happen to everybody, u see! :P esp. for me who is not of the upper echelons of the society.

Jovian, bz picking the limited wardrobe to mix & match.

Lepaking on the couch, waiting for the so-called-model to change.

Posing with one of the outfits.

Before the wrap with the crew: Hisham, Nur, Yone, Sue & Azhar. Then, we headed for another shoot at Section 7.

One for the camera before the extraordinary designer left.

p/s: Sorry, Jovian... it's my way of using the term 'baju neraka' for sexy clothes. Hahaha. I'll wait for u to design telekung after this :P

A snap with Nur. Hey, when are we going shopping together?

Phew! It was exhausting, but fun! Shooting took hours, yet after editing, it's gonna be aired for just 5 mins :P

I still have sore on my calves till today. Hahaha!

New house...oops! It's not!

After so much hold backs and time lag, finally we moved into a new house. Yay! Eh, it's a 2nd hand one la :P
Anyway, at least it's our very own home :)

Shifting things made me realize that actually I (or is it 'we'?) have piles of things at home. Some of them are things that I have forgotten that they exist. Hahaha.

This baby cot was one of the heaviest stuff moved upstairs. But the most difficult one was the wardrobe.

Anyway, thanks to Nizam, Shady, Shahril, Uncle Bobo (Fadhly) and Suzaidy for lending a helping hand.

As for now, we haven't finished unpacking (actually, we were expecting my MIL to come over and help us...hehehe), but it's a big 'whew!' now.

New home, new environment, the first leaf of a book is opened. If last year, 2008 started with an obnoxious remark... This year is a fresh new start.

Fast forward to the future, I just hope I'd get whatever I dreamt of, not to miss good opportunities (that means I have to be dynamic) and be better in everything. Amin...

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. So, I better sign off now! :P
