A poignant separation

It is now confirmed that I will be away for 2 weeks to attend the induction course (14th to 29th May). This time, I’m not gonna postpone it. The last time I did was because Adam was just two months old and that was the first day I got back to work after the maternity leave.

My main worries are-

1. Keeping the stocks of milk for Adam (for at least one week, before Sham visits me to get another batch after one week)

2. Will that be okay for little Adam?

Well, a baby's sense of smell is highly developed. Babies respond to the smell of the mother herself, not necessarily to the smell of the milk. I’m afraid he wouldn’t be able to adapt to this because he has been breastfeeding for almost 8 months, especially before he was put to sleep.

Yes, actually a process of separation begins from the moment the umbilical cord is cut. But little Cikebum has stolen my heart, and the separation would remind me of how precious this special bond is.

More than two

One..two… and more. Wow! Little Zuhair can crawl more than 2 steps! That’s a good progress.

He could even climb and stand up (while holding on to something). See, Adam grinning at the camera! Sayang mama tak ade gigi!!!

You must crawl before u walk

This of course applies literally to babies and it is good counsel for beginners to learn the basics first. Well, Rome was not built in a day.

Adam has started to crawl these days, but it’s just for 2 steps. Then, he’ll put his body down to the floor again. Not to worry... he's a fast learner. He'll be able to crawl very soon I believe.

Almost one week not being pampered by Sue, Adam had bruises & wounds in four places. (See the right cheek & his forehead). The reason? The other sitters were afraid to inform us. Hish...macam-macam!

This pix shows Adam enjoying his rusk, soaked in water. Tomotnye anak mama!

Adam also got a new haircut after the last one during the aqiqah . Auntie Sue (the sitter) must be unhappy to see him without the baby elephant hair later :P

When u HATE, it doesn’t mean u just ‘DON’T LIKE’

Today I have the AKNC presentation. Before I reached the office, Dr Wan called, instructing me to be one of the panels (replacing him) to interview the candidates for the post of lecturer in our programme.

I refused but he insisted, with an excuse that it is for the subject we are teaching (Fair enough! Not all professors/lecturers know what OSHA is all about).

I was made to understand one of the panels is the diva who never smiled at me and never answer my salam. Nevertheless, Dr Wan has told the other panels his reasons for picking me.

On my way to the room, I bumped into Dr Yus. He said that the diva has asked him to replace Dr Wan. This was of course confusing! So, both of us went up together. Upon seeing me, the diva simply said “It’s ok, we already have Dr Yus”. In a way saying “Go away, we don’t want u here”.

I was outraged, but managed to show my soft attitude, and left the place. I thought all this while, she may not like me, but apparently she hates me! Now I know, she simply did that to provoke me, to drop my face! Why on earth would she be rude to me?

Fine, as u wish…Perang saraf, perang saraf la. I’ll be nice to my enemies, and especially to her friends.

I'HAVE TO BLOCK OUT THOUGHTS OF U SO I DON'T LOSE MY HEAD!

3 Queenslanders in a row

Woke up early today to go to KLCC. Sham is participating in an explorace organized by JTI Tobacco. His team mates are Nizam & Shahril. There were so many teams, DOE itself sent a few groups.

Ish..ish..ish...Macam mana le nak menang. Breakfast bersungguh-sungguh. Kang berat perut nak lari!

Then, I proceed with my 'date' with Melissa. Well, I couldn't recall when was the last time I met Mel so there's plenty to gossip and share. Unfortunately Maya couldn't join us, as her grandpa just died a few days ago.

Little Cikebum, as usual...was very comfy in anybody's arms.

Oh ya...We also saw Sarah & Luqzan at the place we had our breakfast. My goodness! This, I suppose is the Queenslander's day out! Since they didn't realize we were there, I didn't wanna interrupt their serious conversation.

Before Mel left, Adri arrived. So we sat down for coffee... chitchatted, until Adam woke up and Sham came back from the explorace.

It's nice hangin' out with a bunch of friends after so long. Despite living in the same area (Selangor/KL), we are still unable to meet that often.
