Laki orang gitu, laki aku gini

I just came back from taking a test with 2 friends. Lepas test, kitorang gi makan kat Secret Recipe sambil masing-masing bercerita tentang life at home, as a wife & a mother.

One of them has a very protective and possessive husband, which I'd say... aku kurang suka la kalo terlampau berkepit sangat. Kejap-kejap check wife katne, dengan siapa.
Dont get me wrong. They have a very happy life, with 3 kids. But the husband is very busy, asyik outstation sana-sini... sampaikan the wife didn't have enough time to prepare for the test. Ye la..nak uruskan anak-anak lagi, kemaskan rumah lagi, masak lagi...

The other friend pulak... the husband is a busy type. Balik umah, hadap komputer. Anak (walaupun baru sorang) nak bermanja pun asyik kena hala ke mak nye (my friend la). She too, complained that she couldn't concentrate on the preparation for the test.
Kesian...

This is not to bitch about others. I'm just sharing...bcoz somehow it opened my eyes...


How lucky I am to have such a good husband.

• When I was busy preparing myself with the test, (or the once-every-semester marking the exam scripts), he'd make sure I am not burdened with the kids.
• He trusts me... walaupun aku ada keluar dengan male friends... Pernah gak tak bagitau dia, but one thing for sure- he rarely argues.
• Bcoz he also has his time-with-friends, at least he did offer if I wanna hang out with my friends (aku je yang jarang buat, sebab tak sampai hati nak tinggalkan anak).
• And of course he helps me with the housechores too. Cuci/sidai baju... basuh pinggan, kadang-kadang sapu/mop... Jadik la...

Thanks for your understanding... and for your love.
Bukan mudah mendidik anak seorang diri.
Bukan mudah seorang isteri tanpa suami.

Terima kasih kerana membimbing Sayang dalam hidup.
Kalau apa yang aku buat terserlah kebenarannya, setujulah dia.
Tapi kalau salah, tetap salah... tapi halus benar kiasannya.

Lil Adib's potong jambul

Alhamdulillah...
Last Saturday, as Lil Adib was approaching 3mths, we had a 'potong jambul' kenduri for him at MIL's in Endau.

Korang panggil la potong jambul ke, cukur jambul ke... Cukur rambut ke (org cukur kepala la, wei..bukan rambut!!!), cukur kepala ke... I'd like to emphasize here... cukur jambul is adat. Cukur kepala is the sunnah as practised by Rasulullah s.a.w.

Here I use the term potong jambul as we haven't had the time to shave his head yet :P Elehhh... macam le banyak sangat rambut budak bodak tu.

Before the event started, Lil Adam dah rasmikan pulut kuning tu...


Ramai gak yang datang. More than expected.


So, it started with Yasin recital... nyaris-nyaris aku kena lead sebab otai tu tak datang. Haha


Followed by doa and berzanji/selawat...

Nape baby selalu tido ekkk, masa orang berzanji tu? Pelik aku...

Lil Adam behaved so well, so I rewarded him with a new monster. Aku pun tak tau apa nama monster tu, so I named it "Tenggiling" :P Kira cute sikit la daripada aardvark or ant-eater. Hahaha.

When the time came, Lil Adib was brought out.

Jenuh makcik ni cari rambut Lil Adib, sebab memang tak banyak (cettt... ada hati gak nak potong jambul).

...dan masukkan dalam nyoq yang disediakan...

Those who cut Lil Adib's jambul were given some bunga rampai....

And the goodie bag, containing pulut kuning, bunga telur (in the porcelain basket), a tube of henna and a tube or perfume oil.

The menus include... laksa Johor (and the garnishing). Siap rajin pulak diorang buat dua jenis kuah. Aku tibai je dua-dua jenis... :P

5 BAD habits yang BAGUS

Sape takde bad habits kan? Gigit kuku ke, gedik-gedik kaki bila tunggu orang, malas mandi... -u name it. Haaa... jangan tak tau... ada several bad habits yang bagus jugak tau!

2. Fidgeting

If I knew this earlier, I might argue with older people who used to ask me to sit still (when I was a lil girl). Hahaha.
Know why? A small study by the Mayo Clinic found that obese people burned 350 fewer calories from non-exercise activities a day than thin people.
Why? Slimmer people tend to be more fidgety during their daily activities, while overweight folks sit still. Fidgeting can't take the place of regular exercise, though - but hey, now we have more reasons to wiggle and gedik-gedik kaki la to keep fit. (But don't do it when attending interviews!)


2. Coffee
Well, it's bad...but it keeps u awake and is a powerful source of antioxidants. Hence the risks of liver/colon cancer, Parkinson's disease and type 2 diabetes are reduced.
If u don't fancy coffee, black tea is also good.



3. Surfing the web
U must read this!
A study at the University of California at Los Angeles found that just one week of frequent Web browsing can increase your brain's complex-reasoning hubs. "When you're using the Internet, you're controlling your short-term memory and decision-making abilities," says Gary Small, a physician and professor of psychiatry at UCLA. "It's good to exercise that part of the brain and gain useful mental talents that help us in everyday life."

4. Unmade beds
Although a nicely made bed is comfy and pleasant to the eyes, if you don't let your mattress and sheets air out in the morning, you could be welcoming some extra bed buddies (say, 1.5 million of microscopic dust mites that feed on scales of human skin and cause asthma and other allergies!!!)
"Beds covered with sheets and bedspreads can stay moist enough to provide an ongoing 'bed and breakfast' for dust mites," says Allen P. Rathey, president of The Healthy House Institute.

From now on, if I don't have the time to make my bed, I'd say I'm giving the bedsheet time to air and dry out before tucking it in again.
Lame! :P


5. Chewing gum
Again, this is not to be done during an interview!
However, popping a piece of chewing gum can help you focus, relieve stress and stave off hunger "Chewing gum can relieve tension because it's sort of like punching a pillow. It helps take the focus off whatever it is you're stressing about and helps release nervous energy," says Marjorie Nolan, registered dietitian and national spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.

Moreover, chewing sugar-free gum keeps our teeth healthy by clearing away food residue and increases saliva production.

Day1 Lil Adib at nursery: I'm sad :'(

I still remember the sorrow on the 1st day I sent Lil Adam to be under the care of Sue & Nenek. I tot he'd be crying, instead he was so calm... and I was the one sobbing in the car.


Today, I send Lil Adib to the same nursery with Lil Adam.
And I feel the same.

But actually, this is the one yang jaga babies.

At first, Lil Adib was ok.
But then, start la dondang sayang dia...


One big kiss before I left him there... "Adib be a good boy okay."


On the ground floor, Lil Adam was still excited, showing off the new book to his cikgu and friends.

He might be too small to look after his lil brother, but one thing for sure, he always says...
"Adam saaaayam Adik."

I am supposed to work on something at home, but I just couldn't start. Dok layan mood sedih dari tadi. Moga Sayang Mama semua dilindungi Allah s.w.t.
Sob...sob.. :'(

Kasut aneh

Tak lama lagi dah nak start keje balik...
Dah bercuti sakan ni.. harus la aku liat nanti. Liat bangun pagi, liat nak bersiap-siap, liat semua-semua la. Untuk bagi ada momentum rajin keje, aku rasa kena la ada baju baru ke...henbeg baru ke... kasut baru ke.... ye tak?:P

Baju banyak yang muat lagi rasanya- cuma jemu atau tak je la.
Henbeg pun dah ada dapat hadiah, dan yang lama pun elok lagi.

Aritu, aku dah sambar 2kasut.

Sebut pasal kasut...
Dalam banyak-banyak kasut ni... yang mana korang rasa unik tapi tak sanggup pakai?
