How big is a kangaroo?

Before I stepped my feet in the Downunder few yrs ago, I read the facts about roo somewhere, saying that...

A red kangaroo can reach speeds of over 56km/hour, with their bounding gate that allows them to cover 8m in a single leap and to jump 1.8m high;
whilst the grey kangaroo has been known to jump up to 9m long and ~2m high.

Of course la, aku started imagining yang seekor kangaroo tu mesti besar giler. Sebesar anak dinosaur gamaknye.
Ye la kan, kalo sekali lompat tu boleh cecah 8 ke 9m, harus la sampai bergegar bumi Australia tu.

Later, I discovered another fact that...
The largest kangaroo is the male red kangaroo, whose head and body can grow up to ~2m tall and tail to about 1m long, weighing 90 kg.
So, sah la imaginasi aku.

Lupa pulak walaupun berat aku hanya half daripada tu, tapi tinggi aku tak la jauh sangat dari 2m tu...



Bila dah jejak kaki sendiri kat sana, jumpa kangaroo depan mata, rasa nak tergelak pun ada. Maklumlah kan, dah suku abad hidup, baru tau hakikat sebenar tentang saiz seekor kangaroo.



Bila aku borak dengan Winie kelmarin, dia ada mention nak bawak anak dia 'Kangaroo Riding!!!'.
Aku pun kata la..."What??? How big do u think is a kangaroo?"

Winie: Why? Not big aaa?

Moi : Nope. So, u ingat besar mana?

Winie: Err... the size of a cow... or a horse maybe?!

Moi: Tak lah... I pun dulu ingat macam tu jugak. Hehehe


Well, the similar conversation took place amongst us (myself and 4 ex-students: Norm, Nurul, Bie & Noni).

U see... Berdiri tak sama tinggi, duduk pun tak sama rendah :P

Aku bukanlah nak tunjuk terer pun, cuma aku terfikir... "Bukan aku sorang je yang membayangkan kangaroo tu besar rupanya!"

Kalo aku masa dah suku abad baru tau hakikat sebenar, Winie dah umur 32 baru dapat tau. So,not bad lah kan?
