In the baby seat
This week, we commute between Shah Alam - Equatorial Bangi almost everyday. Sham has a certification course and coincidently, I have a seminar too.
The room was spacious and had a good view. We didn't really occupy the room provided, though... but we enjoyed the spread of buffet. Nyum nyum...I love it! Am never bored of the scrumptious seafood, delectable healthy pies and toothsome sweet desserts. Hahaha
This week also sees another new thing for little Adam. After being pampered so much, sitting on Mama's lap when Sham's driving, finally Adam has to learn to sit in the newly bought baby car seat. Look at his blur face...hehehe
During the weekend, I brought little Adam to meet Auntie Bibah & Auntie Putri (my diploma mates). There were lotsa gossip and stories shared. Luckily, Sham is understanding and supportive to gimme time for ladies' day out.
Hope your turn will be soon, babes :P

Scary flashflood
Yesterday, I had a talk at INTEC for the AUSMAT programmes-on the lifestyle and such in Oz. Lesley was also there, for the same purpose...except that Guri was just to accompany his wife, and to meet little Adam after two months.
I got this Paton's Macadamia Chocolates for my birthday... and some gifts from Jeanette too.
After the talk, Sham picked us for dinner at Concorde. It poured very heavily as we got into the car. Once we arrived at Section 2, the traffic was so bad that we were stucked for almost an hour (or so). Seeing the stormwater overflowing from the drains and some cars parked outside the school soaked really made me scared.
I couldn't imagine if something bad happened-esp. with Adam in my arms.
Luckily, the downpour slowed down and we turned back and took another junction. Phew! We could see a lamp post and a tree plowing out and almost hit some houses. What a view! I'm sure Lesley and Guri couldn't forget the incident...

Jom Masuk U! :Outreach Ipoh
It's the first Misi Akademik I joined. The mission is to provide as much info to the prospective students, esp. the school leavers.
Sounds simple, but it actually took a lot of patience to do the task. At one stage, we were sorta announcing and touting "Who wants to enter the world class university with the cheapest study fees?" Hahaha.

Rusdin & I distributing flyers... The pix of us explaining about the programs offered by UiTM is not here. (Ahem...we were busy with the task that we didn't have the time to smile for the camera).
Along was also there (am not sure whether she really did was she was supposed to at the counter though). So, before I headed off to the hotel, we took a snap of photo.
This is just a photo of a funny signboard of a restaurant. Note the spelling 'koitiau'. I have seen various spellings for the word 'kuetiau' that triggerred boisterous merriment or convulsive laughter. E.g: keow teow, koayteow, kuehtiau.

Endau and MIL's koleh kacang
Back to Endau for a few days... Not really for a holiday, but as usual...we couldn't really relax as in my hometown. There were too many things to do.
Plus, I had to listen to the lengthy rebuke. I thought we were advanced enough to standby a tin of formula (so they don't blame us for fully rellying on brest milk). Unfortunately, they were expecting us to start feeding Adam with semi-solid food. (Hello, it's my boy...I know what I'm doing). Gosh!

Anyway, Sham & I had the chance to leave Adam with MIL for a while, and off we went to Penyabong. Hehehe. Bila lagi nak rasa macam zaman bercinta?
There was nothing much, but we could breathe the fresh air while holding hands...just like the honeymoon days. Oh yes... and to have some crazee pix taken too! :P
Other than that, My MIL conducted a small 'kenduri' ... she was busy with her authentic 'koleh kacang' that she claimed was the one and only one in Semanyir. Hahaha...
Good that she proved to me she was right! I have never liked 'koleh kacang'...but hers, I could eat more than 3 pieces!
The funny part was while we were reciting Yasin, Kak Mie rushed outside to get Haziq who was lying near the drain (his legs were in the drain, but his upper body was lying on the floor). There was nothing wrong- he just felt asleep while playing. Hahaha... Teruk betul :P

Wiper...oh wiper
This morning, Jeanette & Mick (Mc Manus, the Executive Dean of BACS UQ) came for a talk with the FSG staff.
As usual, I was the one entertaining them and I accompanied them to INTEC Section 17 for another talk. When were were about to make a move from INTEC (after everything was done), I got a call from a lady...with a harsh tone, asking me to move my car.
OMG! I forgot that I blocked someone else's car. (Well, double parking and blocking cars is a norm here, but we have to leave our phone no. on the dashboard for them to call just in case).

Parking lot is a big issue nowadays. We all feel the strengthening pinch of parking slots around FSG. Yet they still have this kinda 'gravestone' and unnecessary decorations near Block B. It is potty to put people at a parking disadvantage for eye-candy!
Oops! Ok, back to the story.
So, I told the lady that I was on my way from INTEC. With her rude intonation, she said "Boleh cepat sikit x? Panas tau kat sini (Can U please rush? It's a bit hot here)"
Dalam hati aku "Why on the earth would she want to wait there when it's hot? Idiot!"
Not long after that, she called again... "Are u coming? I'm waiting y'know"
And I answered " Yes, I am entering the main entrance now. Hold on"
Upon hearing this, Jeanette even wanted to help me to apologize but when we arrived there, she wasn't there anymore. I felt so guilty, so I still moved my car to somewhere nearer to Block A.
After office hour, I drove to Sham's office to fetch him... then only I realized that the rear wiper is missing. Actually, it's being broken. Not unscrewed. There was also some scratches in two spots.
Nothing else came to my mind but 'the lady'. It must be her.
I never thought there are still uncivilized ill-mannered lecturers in this uni. Anyway, today is your day. I still keep her hp no. Sooner or later, i know how to trace who u are. Watch out!
............................................................................
Night, we went to pick Mick & Jeanette at Sheraton and brought them to the Sunway Pyramid. We had a dinner at the Ole-Ole Bali. I love the lemon grass mojito drinks!
While dining, we chitchatted about Malaysian lifestyle (Jeannete said "Malaysians shop throughout the year, what do they do with the old stuff?"), Postgrad prospectus, updates on Brisbane, yada..yada...
And me, as usual...am busy snapping some photos. Ahah! This one is well-centred, though it was self-portraited.
And also a pix of Adam with Aunt Jeanette, who wanted to make him an Aussie bloke!
