Berkampung (tido) kat ofis kerana heatwaves

Last week has seen the heatwaves hit more than 40'C for 5 consecutive days in Adelaide. Last year max cuma 42'C. But this year, melarat sampai 46'C. Masak!!!

Staying indoors at home couldn't even be cool enough. Nak-nak pulak kalau aircond ada kat dapur (kejadah apa pasang aircond kat dapur instead of living area or bedrooms?) Hmm..maybe Aussies ni ingat semua orang nak merasa jadi Cinderella kot, tido kat dapur. Whatever.

Monday (when it started), lepas hantar kereta (Bluey Babe) ke workshop, MrHubby sent me to the office. Tapi boleh pulak aku terbangang, lupa yang kunci ofis aku attach sekali dengan kunci kereta. Kebetulan pulak biasanya Monday cuma aku dan Ganyk kat ofis, called him and he said he won't be in. So, I decided to go back home.  

Tak kuasa aku nak patah balik amik kunci bagai dalam bahang panas cenggitu. 

I thought boleh la balik buat kerja kat rumah. Tapi humang aii...it drained my energy, sampai tahap tak boleh pikir langsung. Aku cuma lepak kat bean bag, sambil layan FB... sampai trending #kangkung pun aku tersilap baca as 'kangkang'. 

Kronik tu! So, last-last aku berendam dalam bath tub lama-lama.

Selasa, tak tahan punya pasal... malam tu, aku ajak MrHubby and the kids tido kat ofis. Hahaha.

The kids played with the 'connecting toys' and ended up inventing this headgear. LOL.

Apa-apa je la nak oii...

Nobody was aorund anyway, except that my SV just pass through on his way back home.

Agaknya sebab bertukar tempat tidur, aku takleh nyenyak sangat malam tu. So, the following day, aku agak ting-tong sikit. Baru ingat nak balik awal, but hooked up in a discussion with my SV la pulak. 

Malam Rabu tu, MrHubby nak suruh tido kat ofis lagi, tapi aku insist nak balik rumah (macam MIL pulak, takleh tinggal rumah lama-lama. Hahaha).

As a consequence, malam tu aku takleh tidur sangat. Panas wehhh! Aku siap basahkan kain buat selimut. Kipas pasang sampai 3 bijik kat dalam bilik, pun panas jugak. 

So, apa lagi...confirm la Khamis tu kitorang berkampung lagi kat ofis.Siap tapao makanan siap-siap for dinner.

Pagi buta esoknya, MrHubby gi keje... by pukul 9am+, dia drop by to fetch the kids back home...dan aku sambung buat keje.

Bagusnya bila super-panas ni, satu jer kot. Aku jadi terlebih rajin dok dalam ofis/lab... buat segala experiments. Takde guna keluar awal kalau panas yang amat walaupun matahari dah tenggelam.

Jumaat dah tak teruk sangat dah. It was still 42'C though. But I stayed back till late, sebab ada meeting bagai with our Flinders team. Siap Sv aku buat statement kat diorang "Is has been working harder than usual this week."... sebab dia nampak aku balik lewat giler tiap-tiap hari kot. Mihmihmih.

The best part was, dah dekat sunset, the gale wind started blowing... and the temperature halved to 22'C. Legaaaa...sangat!

So, the weekend was spent dengan mengqada' tidur sampai pukul 9 gitu. Hahaha.

Setakat yang aku check until the end of February, max temperature would only be around 32'C. Kira okay la tu.
