Dinner at Tenji

Saturday last week, we had an invitation from the newly-weds, Sarah & Azam for a dinner at Tenji, SohoKL.

We were fashionably late (bcoz it's a fashion! hehe) but thank God, there's Garmin ;)
The food was awesome and there's a lot of choice too. Till end of Jan, the second person only pays RM28. There's seafood, sushi, BBQ, stir fry, steamboat, fresh fruits, cakes, Baskin icecreams, drinks and I love the botak coconuts most.

Oysters always remind me of MrBean :P

Popcorn pun ada. Xyah pi cinema.

Semangat tak I bercerita? Sampai x sedar kena snap photo

Tengok tu...tunjuk gelagat dia..

Geleng-geleng kepala laju-laju

Daddy's lil rascal

In short, the pantang-larang that we are about to start after MrHubby's blood test has to be restarted la. Maklumlah..memenuhi undangan.

Yours truly & Sarah

Sitter = bigger family?

Whilst others are busy posting entries about yesterday's MBP Gathering (which yours truly will do later), I'd like to express my dilemma and seek opinions from my fellow frens.

This morning, I was awakened by the alarm of unread sms...
"Salam. Kak Nah minta maaf esok Kak Nah cuti lg blk kg sepupu meninggal."

It was already 5am, and the details showed that the sms was sent at about 2am. I am not inconsiderate, but I was so unhappy yet indecisive bcoz today I have a lab and a lecture to attend.

To make things worse, actually this is the third time of the month she takes such leave.

The first one was on the first day of the semester, which happened to be the same day of schoolkids registration, so she took a day off to arrange for her son's registration (who is already in standard berapa ntah, NOT in standard 1 pun!)

I was in dilemma bcoz as the semester starts, we lecturers are not allowed to take leave, esp on days that we have lectures. So, I had to bring Lil Adam to my office.

Ten days later, she requested for another day off to send her daughter to UiTM Segamat. My oh my...and again, I was perplexed.
Coincidentally, MrHubby was not feeling well, so he took an MC cum to look after Lil Adam while I attended my lectures.

I understand she too is a human being with needs and wants. Every employees are given a few days of annual leave, but well... I think this is pretty disturbing.

Prolly what a friend said is true... having a sitter is like having a big family. It's like an addition to our own family.

When she is not feeling well, we can't send our kid(s).
When she has a relative's kenduri, we have to take a day off too.
When she has an emergency, we too are affected.

So should I proceed sending Lil Adam to her...or should I consider a taska/kindy? But if I were to do so, I prefer it to be a one-off change for him.
Kalo sekarang tukar pegi sitter lain, one or two years later nak hantar ke taska/kindy pulak. Kesian dia bertukar-tukar kawan in a short time.

Please help me by giving me some opinions. TQ

Ice room

Have u been to the Ice Room, Nilai?
I heard it originates from Singapore, and the ice creams are home-made (read: home=the company itself).

Few days ago, I had the chance to go there with my boss. Gila wei...dari Shah Alam pegi ke Nilai masa lunch!
and I love the deco on the walls. This one might be suitable for those who plan to propose the partner.

this is cute!

plunge into the creamy ice

the green tea ice cream
black sesame seed ice cream and i-forgot-the flavour ice cream
durian flavour.yummy!

one for mak yam ( i mean, yam=keladi)

don't go for the ordinary strawberry

peanut ice cream is so-so

So, this is the place. Nice and cozy.

The peanut ice cream which I rate as 3stars.
this mango pongo is niceeee...

oh...btw, as it was during lunch, we had this...

and this pan-fried beef steak.
Tu la...org dah cakap jangan order yang nie, kan liat mcm selipar jepun!

I should go there again, with MrHubby & Lil Adam.

Urat putus?

Have u ever heard of the myths/facts that our urat will putus every time after we give birth?
Not sure which urat, but elderlies always emphasize on this.

I heard if the baby is a boy, the number of urat putus is double, as compared to delivering baby girls.

Wah...in that case, Mak might have lost a lot of urats after giving birth to 1 son & 4 daughters.
I wonder what about those with 10 kids (or more)? Habis urat terus gamaknya..Hahaha

Now I'm trying to relate these two factors...

Doddery = urat putus

bcoz my friends keep saying that they tend to be forgetful, esp. after having babies.

Last week, as I blogged here, I forgot that I had a lecture. Haihh...Awal-awal sem lagi, dah lupa!
  • Excuse: I was sunken in the piles of letters for industrial training application.
  • Lame excuse: I was nailed to the chair once the computer is switched on.

Early this week, I was already in front of the sitter's house when I realized I left the bag with Lil Adam's stuff at home.
  • Excuse: Usually, MrHubby & I sends Lil Adam to the sitter together. So, he could remind me if I forget.
  • Lame excuse: My hands were full: carrying the clingy Lil Adam, my handbag, etc.

Some time two days ago, I forgot to keep the car keys in its place.
  • Excuse: I arrived home and put the key near the car windscreen bcoz I wanted to sweep the dead leaves at the porch.
  • Lame excuse: Errr...err...

I also cooked two packets of fried instant noodles the wrong way. It was mee of the goreng type, I realized there were two sets of seasonings, but still I poured everything in. Why la?

Maka jadilah mee goreng bersup

So, can anyone tell me whether u too, feel u r a bit senile after having kid(s)... or is it just me?

Or could this be the signs of ageing? (as what I've always teased others). Kan people go mentally infirm with age?
But, hey...I'm still in my 20's whaaaaaaaatttttt?

(Keep on denying, Isabelle! Good luck)

Aladdin pants

Look at these gorgeous beaded shoes? They are called Aladdin shoes (kasut Aladdin). Hmm... is it true that Aladdin wore this kinda shoes?

Meh..google sikit.

Apparently, he is bare-footed la! :P

Well, guys...I'm not sure whether u still remember in the early 90's- the harem pants were very popular. Masa tu kan zaman MC Hammer! Hahaha.

♪♫ Can't touch this...na-na-na-na ♫ ♪♫ ♪

p/s: Harem literally means the part of a Muslim palace or house reserved for the residence of women back in Ottoman Empire. But I believe it has nothing to do with the name of the pants.

Anyway, the flowery pants were also known as seluar Aladdin. Perhaps bcoz they are tapered at the ankle and baggy (like a skirt cum skinny jeans) like Aladdin's.

And me...being an 11-12yr-old girl, I was unhappy for not having one of the in-things by then. Kesian kan?

After about 15yrs, I was given a pair by Along... and it is now my rug. Buat alas kaki je :P

I guess I was pretty late to own one.
But, the fashion came back Fall last year. Not bad, ay? (provided it is not flowery)

Hmmm..perhaps I should get a pair la, so I could belly-dance with MrHubby later. Maklum la...malam ni kan....err..malam.....Hihihi...

...or this one la.
Daring gitu!
