Alluring & mysterious eyes

If I were asked about the body parts I don't like, it's gonna be my eyelashes-they are pointing down and so 'kepam'...
I used to complain and express the discontentedness, until one day Along said "Have u ever seen any Chinese with curly eyelashes?" (that really made me dumbstruck!)
So, prolly, it's the genetic that made those hair on the eyelids so stubborn to curl.

I was once influenced by Kelly to try to curl my eyelashes. Well, Koreans kan memang suka melawa!

Seeing her obsession with mascara, I think her effort is at least being paid somehow. I tried and tried but seemed useless.

When the gedik to try curling the persistent lashes attacked me again, I would buy mascara, eyelash curler, etc. I even have an electric lash curler (battery-operated) but I think it doesn't help much.

Yesterday, when I was out for tiffin at Bukit Raja, suddenly a Chinese girl stopped me. Ingatkan apa le. Rupa-rupanya dia nak promote Shizens (a Korean product) mascara.

She showed me her incredibly long eyelashes, so despite walking into the Deli Rich, I sat on the chair and let her work on my short, kepam lashes. I told myself, if she could make it pointing to the sky, I'd buy the product and give her a tabik spring before I left.

Peggy trying hard to lengthen the lashes (by applying fibre)

Now, trying to make it thicker and voluminous

Guess what?

Before

and after
Significant difference?
Length-yes.
Curl?
Naaahhhhh.

So, forget it!
I am so comfortable with the fake lashes.

But hey, if can guarantee me a mascara that can solve the problem, please lemme know. Tak payah la sampai bercabang macam nie...
or yang mcm mata berlumut nie...
A decent one would be fine.

Manly voice

Faezah: Hello, Is.
Isabelle: Aaa...
Faezah: Can u pls leave the office keys for me tomorrow?
Isabelle: Okay. Remind me, eh?
Faezah: BTW, what happened to your voice?
Isabelle: I just had a wet dream last nite. Baru baligh la nie.
Faezah: Siot je...

I have just recovered from a two-week flu. Not only runny nose, it also made my voice very much like Pavarotti (manly, that is):P

Hey bloggers (who have met me in person)... Don't u realize that my voice is naturally deep?

I attended an all-girls school (Form 1-3), and we used to have this event called Malam Kebudayaan in which all classes will perform a show, pantomime, nasyid, etc.

When I was in Form 2, we decided to perform a play with the 1st verse of this song (in one of the scenes)...

Malam bulan dipagar bintang
Tambah seri cuaca malam
Murni sungguh ciptaan Tuhan
Bulan bintang lampu alam

Duhai kasih ingin dimanja
Dengan cumbuan mesra
Untuk pelipur lara
Penawar dik asmara

and as the voice of P.Ramlee-alike was in the air, all the girls startled, their eyes wandering for a figure of a man. Ye la kan..sekolah pompuan, so, if suddenly there's a man entering the restricted zone, with us wearing the fancy costumes, mesti semua jadi kelam kabut!

I heard some of them mati-mati percaya that it was a man's voice, hence the panic! And well, as u guessed...actually I was the one behind the scene :P

I know, all ladies wanna have sweet voice that could melt the gentlemen's hearts, so some might think that this is a disadvantage to me.

Hey, u better think twice.

With this deep voice I have, I could easily pretend being a male friend to call the puppies (of the puppy love I used to date) without being stranded when the phone was answered by their parents! Eheh ;)

And I once heard someone came up with a theory that...
Orang suara sedap ni biasanya muka tak lawa...

So, I guess u know what I mean. Hehehe

Eggs...oh... eggs

Telur... telo... or teloq...
No matter how u pronounce it, I love eggs so much. I mean, the real egg, not 'that egg'.
(sila clearkan otak biru anda sebab lambat lagi malam Jumaat) :P

This morning, I got a bunga telur from the Professorial Lecture by Prof Kamal. I am always excited when it comes to bunga telur.

Look...nice ay?

But the part that I fancy most is not the beautiful flower...
it's the egg!

When I was small, upon seeing Abah coming home from any kenduri, Kokokularigagahberani & I would rush and grab the bunga telur to eat the egg. If Abah happened to come back with two bunga telurs, we won't be quarelling that much.

Our passion towards eggs is to the extent that Tok would come up with a solution "Nah..amik duit ni, pegi beli 10 bijik telur, kita rebus makan."

But much to our disappointment, the eggs would never taste as nice as from the kenduri kawins. Why ahhh? I think they must have put some ingredients like salt or certain leaves while boiling 'em.

Came Along's wedding (I was 16 then), I was so excited seeing so many eggs being boiled and put in the porcelain baskets. But I was more excited seeing the cracked ones. Cracked or slightly broken eggs mean it would not be given to the guests, hence I had the chance to eat 'em all. Hehehe.

My fondness towards eggs is shared with MrHubby & especially Lil Adam (as I blogged once ago). So, it is not an issue for us to have a meal of rice and egg or omelette, though it might sound like orang miskin takde lauk!

The issue is...the egg that I get today- should I eat it or should I keep it for my lil munchkin? (Mama yang hampeh)

Locked inside

We started yesterday morning lazily... snuggling each other (macam dia sorang je ada laki!) and sitting next to Lil Adam while he watched Thomas/Teletubbies, etc.

Later, we heard the main door opened and closed.
"Oh..Along Akil must be off to work."
p/s: Along Akil is MrHubby's nephew who is now staying with us after his diploma.

Then, snuggle again... golek-golek atas katil, chatting, observing Lil Adam's cheekiness.

MrHubby: What do u want for breakfast?

Isabelle: Toast.

MrHubby: Okay, I'll buy some bread. Anything else? Kaya?

Isabelle: Yes, kaya. That's all.

MrHubby went downstairs and came up again, searching for the house keys.

MrHubby: Where are your keys? Mine's with Along.

Isabelle: Uh-oh... I think it's in the car. Last nite I didn't take it out bcoz Along opened the door for us.

MrHubby: Alamak! How now?

Isabelle: Errr...the key to the back door is in the same bunch.

MrHubby: Let's call DrWan (my boss, who lives at the back row of ours)

Called, no answer. Oh no! He must have gone out golfing.

Isabelle: We wait at the grill la...and ask any passers by (neighbours) to take the keys in the car for us.

MrHubby: Hahaha. No la.

So, I called K.Za (DrWan's wife) and ask her son to come and help us. Ngeee :P Nasib baik ada hero datang.

But seems like we have been troubling their family many times now (me getting rides to work when MrHubby is late, etc.) tapi takpelahhh... dulu, when we were looking for a property to buy, DrWan is the one who recommended us to settle down in the neighbourhood.

So, my dear boss... seems like forever la we'll keep troubling u :P
